PORELOGIX ULTRAFILTRATION SYSTEMS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED A 4 WEEK PRODUCED WATER TREATMENT PILOT IN BILLINGS, OK.

OMAHA, Neb. (7/16/2016) – Porelogix Ultrafiltration Systems, LLC completed a 4 week 2500 BBL per day produced water treatment study in Billings, OK with SS Oilfield Services and Range Resources (NYSE-RRC). Located less than 50 miles from the epicenter of the September 5.6 magnitude earthquake the Porelogix System coupled with TDS removal technology was able to remove 99.99% of the solids (TSS) and bacteria from the produced water negating the need to dispose of the water via deep well injection. It is widely accepted that the increased earthquake activity in Oklahoma is the direct result of deep well injection of the wastewater byproduct of hydraulic fracturing. Fracking a shale-gas well uses as much as five million gallons of water. Up to 40% of it returns to the surface containing hydrocarbons, heavy metals, solids and bacteria. Since 2013 Porelogix Ultrafiltration systems have been providing water treatment companies a skid based ultrafiltration solution capable of treating these difficult waste streams without irreversible fouling common with other ultrafiltration systems.
