Porelogix Announces Successful Implementation Of Leachate Treatment System

Omaha, Neb. (05-03-2015) – Porelogix Ultrafiltration Systems, LLC announced the successful implementation of an advanced ultrafiltration leachate treatment system. Commissioned for the 1st quarter 2016 by an international wastewater treatment company, the T-Series Ultrafiltration System is being utilized to provide the highest level of solids and organic removal prior to reverse osmosis treatment. Located in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed, the Porelogix system’s unique technology is treating hazardous leachate water from entering the nearby river system. After treatment, the water is reintroduced into the environment far exceeding effluent limits set forth by the EPA. Leachate water poses a major environmental challenge for landfill owners and operators across the globe. As the world population increases, so do the chances for local waterways and aquifers to be contaminated. With tightening regulations, Porelogix’s advanced membrane technology will be a key part of the solution. The U.S. leachate treatment market is expected to grow to over $2 billion by 2017.
