OMAHA, Neb. (03/07/2017) – Porelogix Ultrafiltration Systems, LLC gained approval from the OCC (Oklahoma Corporation Commission) as a proven produced water treatment technology. Developed over the past 5 years, Porelogix’s advanced Ultrafiltration Systems follow conventional and new emerging pretreatment technologies to provide a viable alternative to underground injection.

Located less than 50 miles from the epicenter of the 5.2 earthquake experienced on September 3rd, the Porelogix system is being utilized by a water service provider to treat the wastewater at centralized wastewater storage facility. While in service Chief Hydrologist Mike Moore of the OCC observed the Porelogix process and was able to receive water samples that resulted in the OCC’s approval. Responsible for enforcing federal regulations for underground injection of wastewater, the OCC has been tasked to identify and approve alternative methods of wastewater disposal to reduce or eliminate the earthquake activity in Oklahoma. Established in 1907 the Oklahoma Corporation Commission provides permitting, information, investigations and compliance services to the Oil and Gas industry.
