PORELOGIX ULTRAFILTRATION SYSTEMS HAS COMPLETED SUCCESSFUL TESTING ON PRODUCED WATER FROM MARATHON OIL
OMAHA, Neb. (6/28/2017) – Porelogix Ultrafiltration Systems, LLC completed successful full scale testing of produced water from the Bakken Shale formation. The wastewater provided by Ultra3X Water was a representative sample of the millions of gallons of wastewater brought up each day during the process of hydraulic fracturing by Marathon Oil within the greater Williston Basin. Fracking a shale-gas well uses as much as five million gallons of water. Up to 40% of it returns to the surface containing hydrocarbons, heavy metals, solids and bacteria. Since 2013 Porelogix Ultrafiltration systems have been providing water treatment companies a skid based ultrafiltration solution capable of treating these difficult waste streams. Developed over the past 5 years, Porelogix’s advanced Ultrafiltration Systems follow conventional and new emerging pretreatment technologies to provide ten times better post filtration compared to current technology used in the market.
